Natalia Alenitsyna

Born in Saint Petersburg in 1971, Natalia Alenitsyna started playing the violin at the age of six. Showing her musical talent at an early age, she was admitted to the special music school at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Saint Petersburg, which she visited from 1978 to 1989. Through her attendance at this school for musical elites and the specialized training she received there she was able, from a very early age, to perform as a soloist in Saint Petersburg and other Russian cities. Her success in first performances outside her native country, in Poland and the GDR, confirmed her extraordinary talent.

After leaving the music school in 1989, Natalia Alenitsyna was engaged on several concert tours with large orchestras, such as the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic, and took part in the Freiburg music festival and in a number of radio and television productions. In 1990, she joined the master class of Andrey Korsakov at the Moscow Conservatory.

In 1991, Natalia Alenitsyna moved to Hamburg and continued her studies at the Hamburg Musikhochschule. Already in 1992, she received awards in the Haussmann Competition and the Chateau de Courcillon Competition in France. In 1993, she was awarded the first prize in the competition of the Elise-Meyer-Stiftung in Hamburg.

Natalia Alenitsyna participated in a lot of master classes of violinists as famous as Prof. G. Zhislin, Prof. M. Lubotsky, Prof. V. Tretjakov and of ensembles like "Amadeus-Quartett" and "Borodin-Quartett".

She also won the first prize and honours at the 33rd Concours international de musique in Berne in 1997.

As one of the founding members and soloists of the „ST. PETERSBURG VIRTUOSEN“ Natalia Alenitsyna has, since 1991, performed on many prestigious international stages.
